BESTSELLER streamlines its customs processing with Logistics Trading Services (LTS)

Challenge

The fashion company BESTSELLER, with their global setup and large volume, has enormous amounts of customs data that must be handled every day.

In connection with the replacement of their ERP system, BESTSELLER was faced with the challenge of finding a replacement for their in-house developed customs solution. BESTSELLER wanted a standard solution that would also support their specialized needs.

After screening the market for standard solutions, the choice fell on Lector's LTS solution, which in connection with the BESTSELLER implementation was expanded in a number of areas so that the needs of multinational enterprise customers are fully supported by the solution.

Solution

With Logistics Trading Services (LTS), BESTSELLER has gained a cloud-based standard solution for handling customs processes in connection with the import and export of goods, as well as the use of bonded warehouses.

The solution supports the entire process, from imports from countries outside the EU, customs warehouse accounting, and sales to countries inside or outside the EU.

Integration to SKAT's systems ICS (Customs 2000), ECS (E-export) is built into the solution.

LTS is integrated into BESTSELLER's ERP system, which delivers the datasets LTS uses to automate the customs process.

The service agreement includes the creation and maintenance of exchange rates and tariff codes.

What will you get out of this?

  • Savings on customs handling costs
  • Minimal load on internal resources in connection with implementation and operation
  • Correct handling of bonded warehouses and transit goods, including automatic and controlled settlement of customs debts, and thus less strain on liquidity
  • Overview of customs debt and guarantee obligations
  • Duty-free sales of goods to customers outside the EU
  • Full traceability and history of all registered items
  • Reduction of error sources and faster troubleshooting
